Hey everyone, just got back from this incredible trip to Singapore and wanted to share my itinerary in case you’re planning a visit! I squeezed in everything from the futuristic lights of Marina Bay to the charming chaos of Little India.

Day 1: Marina Bay Majesty – Top Destination in Singapore

My first morning started in the heart of the action – Marina Bay! The Marina Bay Sands hotel is seriously impressive, like something out of a sci-fi movie! But before exploring the city further, I indulged in some retail therapy at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. This luxurious shopping mall is a haven for high-end brands, and I spent a good chunk of time window shopping at Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and other iconic names. A definite highlight was the unique floating Apple store – so cool to see a tech giant in such a unique setting! Did you know that the floating Apple store is one of the kind in the world?

The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands is a haven not just for luxury shopping but also for indulging in a world of flavors. We embarked on a delightful culinary exploration, sampling dishes from various international cuisines. However, as proud Indians, our taste buds ultimately led us to a delicious Indian restaurant within the mall. Singapore boasts a vibrant Indian food scene, and The Shoppes offer a delectable selection to satisfy any craving for authentic flavors.

Day 2: Chinatown Capers – Top Places to Visit in Singapore

Day two was all about diving into Singapore’s rich cultural heritage. Chinatown blew me away with its vibrant streets and delicious food. I explored the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, a magnificent Buddhist landmark, and wandered through the bustling Chinatown Street Market, scoring some awesome souvenirs (and yes, I definitely haggled a bit!). Sri Mariamman Temple was another highlight – the colours and architecture are incredible! In the evening, I treated myself to some amazing Indian curry at a local restaurant – so much flavour!

Day 3: Little India Escapade – Top 10 Places to Visit in Singapore

Little India was a sensory overload in the best way possible! The Little India Arcade felt like a maze of colourful textiles and delicious spices. Mustafa Centre is this giant department store that seems to sell everything – it was fun just to wander around! In the afternoon, I explored some of the smaller streets, soaking up the atmosphere and grabbing some yummy street food. Sim Lim Square was my last stop – a haven for electronics lovers!

In the afternoon, I opted for a thrilling experience – the Singapore Cable Car! This iconic cableway whisks you over Sentosa Island, offering stunning panoramic views of the city skyline and harbor. It’s a fantastic way to travel between Sentosa and mainland Singapore, and the views are truly unforgettable.

Sim Lim Square – Tech Haven (But Not Budget-Friendly)

Last stop: Sim Lim Square, a haven for electronics lovers! I browsed all sorts of gadgets, from cameras to laptops. While the selection is vast, coming from Delhi, I noticed the prices were generally higher than what I’m used to back home at Nehru Place. That said, if you’re looking for a specific item and don’t mind some friendly bargaining, you might still score a good deal.

Navigating the Lion City: Mastering Singapore’s Transport System

Singapore boasts a well-developed and efficient transport network, making it easy to get around and explore its many districts. Here’s a breakdown of the two most popular options:

While navigating the super clean and efficient MRT system, I stumbled upon a vending machine unlike any I’d ever seen before. This wasn’t your average soda dispenser – it was a fresh orange juice vending machine! For just $2, you could witness the magic firsthand. The machine actually squeezed real oranges, right there in front of you! It then dispensed the fresh juice into a convenient, chilled cup with a straw. It was a refreshing and healthy pick-me-up, perfect for a hot Singapore day.

A Fruity Twist on Convenience

I have to say, it was a truly innovative concept. Not only was the juice delicious, but it was also incredibly convenient. The vending machine’s touch screen was user-friendly, and the whole process, from selecting your portion to receiving your fresh juice, took just seconds. Plus, the price point was unbeatable – a refreshing and healthy snack for just $2!

Jewel Changi Airport: A Grand Finale

Our flight back to New Delhi wasn’t until the evening, so we decided to explore the famed Jewel Changi Airport. This architectural marvel is more than just an airport; it’s a destination in itself! Stepping inside, we were greeted by the breathtaking sight of the HSBC Rain Vortex, the world’s tallest indoor waterfall cascading through the center of a four-story forest. Wandering amidst the lush greenery, it felt like we were transported to a rainforest oasis! The Jewel offered endless photo opportunities, with its stunning waterfalls, vibrant foliage, and unique architectural features.

A Culinary Adventure at Terminal 2

After soaking up the beauty of the Jewel, our rumbling stomachs reminded us it was time for lunch. Thankfully, Changi Airport boasts a vast array of dining options. Since we were craving the delicious flavors of home after our exploration of Singapore’s diverse cuisine, we opted for a South Indian restaurant located in Terminal 2. It was the perfect way to end our Singapore adventure, savoring a comforting and familiar meal before our departure.
