What is Lucid Dreaming?

Lucid Dreaming is a complex topic to speak about. How do you really define the concept? Is it really a concept or a ludicrous state of the mind. What do you think? Is it the horrors that make it scary or is it the inability to do anything in your sleep to help recover from it? Well, you will know now how it feels to be stuck in a parallel subconscious state of the mind. I call this the horrors of lucid dreaming. I have been in many such situations.

Astrally connected

You will find it as if you have come out of your body like on an astral plane, but confused, and can see a horrifying creature standing on your chest sucking your soul away, though trying to kill you. It is literally giving me goosebumps, as I speak! Nevertheless, you try to scream but no one is around to hear you. Your body is static. This is a way of your mind protecting you from your own reckless injuries in a slumber mode. You can literally scratch yourself to death.

Although it’s just you and your paralyzed body at stake, there is still hope for you to get over this lucid state. Are you ready to face my horrors of lucid dreaming states? But, for some, it is a beneficial act to elevate mind awareness or improve meta-cognition. I will let you figure it out on your own. (Image Reference: What is Lucid Dreaming?).

My Experiences

During my stay in Canada, I had taken a room in the basement on rent. I was there for my undergrad studies from 2007-2013 until I returned back to India. While taking a nap in the night just after studying for the exam the next day, I passed into a deep state of sleep with my body locked a few moments after. I was unaware of this at first. But, I realized once I was transitioned into the astral phase where I could see myself asleep on my bed.

However, I couldn’t move at all! Imagine that! While I was exploring how to be awoken and be far away from this subconscious state, I felt a certain pressure on my chest. It felt like a creature was trying to absorb me. I wanted to run as far as possible as I could. All efforts were in vain. I suddenly remembered the vibrations of God and started chanting the holy words of faith. I would advise you to either chant the Hanuman Chalisa, the Gayatri Mantra, the Guru Mantra – Waheguru, or the Lotus Sutra – Nammyohorengekyo.

The devil at play

Finally, I was able to open my eyes and wake up from this definite lucid dream state. It was scary! I was literally sweating at 4 am in the morning that day. Immediately, I switched on the lights.

Now, I will speak about my other of many experiences that I faced upon my return to India. It was even worse, nonetheless, it was a scary dream. One night, I slept like a baby. I also cried like a baby. A fun pun right? Well, if you were in my place, you wouldn’t say so. I literally came face to face with the most dreadful creature I ever saw in my dreams. It was as if I couldn’t breathe. I gasped for air.

I looked around for the family. No one was there to save me. I had to save my own soul that was trapped within my subconscious mind. This mind is at work when the other sections are dormant. It never sleeps. I screamed on top of my voice, though it was just in my brain. It was peace in quiet on the outside and a wreck on the inside. What did I do? I chanted Waheguru and 2 seconds later I woke up. I was overjoyed by having come out of the chaotic state! Gosh!
