Berlin Travel in Germany

Guten Tag! Confused as to what I have just spoken about? Don’t be. It means ‘Good Day’ in the German Language! Germans are very strong people when it comes to their economy and culture. I will talk more about my Berlin travel in Germany. They have a very diverse culture, ranging from the clothes they wear and the food they eat. Germans love beer. You would not find any pub that would not serve German Beer! Germany is full of surprises, concerning the WWII – Nazi Regime! Memories from the war are highly preserved, especially the Berlin Wall that divided East & West Germany. However, the Berlin Wall got demolished. You could purchase a piece of the wall as a souvenir from the souvenir shops nearby.

Berlin’s TV Tower ~ Berliner Fernsehturm

Berliner Fernsehturm” ~ TV Tower of Berlin (Very Famous Landmark)

The TV Tower is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Berlin, apart from Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate & Berlin Victory Column. 1,000,000 visitors thrive around the Berlin TV Tower each year. What a number! Also, several films shootings are popular here with the TV Tower in the backdrop ~ a prominent filming location. It has become one of the prominent symbols of Germany. Spot the TV Tower or Berliner Fernsehturm, and you know you are in Germany!! More pictures of the tower are below!!

The Bombarded Church ~ WWII

Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church

This church that you see above is “Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church”. This is what they left of the church when the Allied Forces bombarded the city of Berlin during World War II in 1945. It gives you a shocker once you see the church and think back to the war times!

The Berlin Wall

The Berlin Wall is one landmark of Berlin & the highly remaining remanent of WWII. It demarcated East Germany from the West. East Germans could not step foot in West Germany to cross over to the West. However, post completion of WWII, as per the Law in the Maastricht Treaty, Germany unified, and the Berlin Wall got destroyed. There is only a small part (please see to the left) that is left of the wall. It is the major attraction of Berlin! Everyone wants to check out the Berlin Wall!! You can even purchase a piece of the wall! It was a sturdy wall, from the look of it!
