Fog in India: When Visibility Goes Poof!
Late December of the previous year and January in the new year has seen alot of Fog in India. When the visibility goes poof, that’s when you know you are in the foggy land. In few reels over Instagram, I have seen the city of Noida engulfed with clouds, similar to that case in Dubai with tall skyscrapers hanging with the clouds. Noida was infact Dubai, at this time! It was a fun watch! Last year, the fog was less cooler than what its this time. Brrrr….I am already feeling cold with just thinking of it. It’s time to speak about the Fog in India when the visibility goes poof! (I so love saying this line!)
How to survive in this cold? All the tips right here!
What are you wearing in the Foggy Winter?
I am sitting in my cosy cabin writing this very article dressed up in sweater (from Uniqlo India), muffler and a warm shirt (from Marks & Spencer). However, there is one jacket from Uniqlo I love – it’s the Pocketable Puff Jacket. Do you know the secret behind it? It’s actually a children’s jacket for ages 12-14 yrs. Why take the adult jacket when you can fit in the kids! (Cheaper too, haha!). A hack that only few can apply – who have the same built as me. You can even get into children’s clothes of 11-12 yrs.
Trust me, you will stay warm! What I feel is to eat as many dry fruits as possible (just don’t go over the limit as it can be harmful for the body and your internal organs) in this foggy winter. Perhaps baked popcorn that you find with the street vendors (super exciting right?).
What to do in the Winter Fog in India?
So, what to do now? What to do in the Winter Fog in India? Are you on your way to the office in the foggy winter mornings? You really are up getting up around 6 to 8 am in the morning (you are a daredevil like me). My office starts at 9:30 to 10 am. Though, I dread the cold, it is always to have fog once in a while (but not everyday). How will we commute? Be it the Uber Shuttles, DTDC Buses or Your Own Transport, visibility is a killer! On the good side, less people commute in this zero visibility weather and we get minimum traffic on the roads! Reaching the office early isn’t a heavy task! But, its the evenings/nights that go crazy with cars (from god knows where) end up on the roads. You sometimes wonder, “where have these cars come from? They weren’t there in the morning”, and keep wandering until you fall asleep either waiting for your bus, or reach home with this very thought in your mind.
Check out some new articles that can help guide you through the fog and keep you informed:
The cold wave is here to stay until Mid-Feb, as per what I have seen over the years. January of every year has proved to be super frigid, and shaky. My gentle readers, keep warm and be in front of a bon-fire or even snuggled up in your quilt or a comforter. Drink your favorite tea or coffee and watch a nice movie on Netflix or other OTT platforms! Are you feeling cold still? The cold still persists!
